The National Pavements Technical Group (NPTG) is an Industry Sector Group established in 2008 consisting of pavement specialists from Waka Kotahi, Consultants, Contractors & Industry Associations. The working party consists of 14-15 members that meet in person three times per year to progress the groups strategic goals. All Engineers and Contractors working within the pavements industry are encouraged to engage with the group and can nominate themselves as corresponding members to the group. Corresponding members are invited to join in-person working party meetings when they occur in their local city and are invited to contribute to individual committees or working parties formed to progress the groups strategic goals.

Locations of working party in-person meetings vary but are typically once per year in the upper north island, Christchurch, Auckland, lower north island and upper south island to maximise opportunities for local industry sector members to engage with the group.[SP1]
