The Next Generation - Pavements and People
REAAA was excited to partner with NZTA to co-host the 22nd NZTA Pavements Conference in Christchurch from 9th to 11th June 2025.
The NZTA Pavements Conference 2025 brought together industry leaders, innovators, and professionals from across New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. This year's theme ‘The Next Generation - Pavements and People’ focused on the evolving landscape of pavement technology and the pivotal role of human capital in shaping the future of our infrastructure.
In addition to technical advancements, the conference highlighted the importance of nurturing the next generation of industry professionals, and it was great to see such a strong line up of Young Presenters and the inaugural Tertiary Students category. The winners of three categories were:
Open Winner: Sean Bearsley, Higgins
Young Presenters Winner: Ann-Elise Reynolds, Whakatane District Council
Tertiary Students Winner: Nariman Kazemi, University of Canterbury
